Seasonal programs

Learning that continues through the year —

At Montessori School of Downtown, learning continues beyond the traditional school calendar. Our seasonal programs offer children a thoughtful extension of their Montessori experience during winter, spring, and summer breaks. Each program offers purposeful, hands-on experiences that support growth, curiosity, and connection at every stage of development.

Winter Camp

Winter Camp invites children into a cozy season of wonder during the holiday break. Students enjoy winter-themed stories, creative arts and crafts, and hands-on activities while remaining in the calm, familiar environment they know and love.

A gentle emphasis on kindness, sharing, and giving helps children experience the spirit of the season in meaningful ways. Younger students benefit from consistent routines and independence-building work, while older children explore creative projects and light academic enrichment, often taking on leadership roles alongside younger peers.

Spring Camp

Spring Camp offers a refreshing pause during Spring Break while keeping learning active and meaningful. As the regular classroom rhythm softens, students continue to grow through hands-on experiences that feel engaging rather than demanding.

With theme-based adventures that include exploration, movement, art, science, and Montessori-inspired works, Spring Camp supports independence, confidence, and a smooth return to the remainder of the school year.

Summer Camp

Summer Camp extends Montessori learning into the summer months through joyful, purposeful days guided by a new theme each year. Children engage in hands-on learning, creative projects, and outdoor exploration, supported by thoughtfully prepared Montessori materials.

On-campus experiences such as splash pad water play, bubble days, snow cone treats, and in-house field trips add variety and excitement. School-aged students also enjoy age-appropriate off-campus activities that build confidence, leadership, and real-world awareness. STEAM learning is woven into the program through longer, project-based work that encourages curiosity and deep exploration throughout the summer.
